Kale and Quorn in a Savoury Sauce.

Loving Quorn right now. I have to admit, it’s hard not to eat too much of the quorn range, as i prefer to eat mostly wholefoods that aren’t overly processed. At least one meal a week is based around using Quorn products, and my boys love that they are eating ‘meat based dishes’ without even telling the difference. This dish i find tasty with or without the Quorn fillets. This meal is so easy, cheap, nutritious and delicious. It certainly hits the spot if you are craving something hot and savoury.

Quorn and Kale Cous Cous.

-Cous Cous/Rice or Pasta for two people

-Half a packet of Quorn fillets (available in the freezer section of coles or woolies)

-Half a bunch of kale, roughly chopped into 2cm pieces

-About a handful of baby spinach

-Olive oil

-Use medium to high heat for your pan

Fry up the quorn fillets in a heated pan with olive oil, until browned all over. This should take 8-10 minutes. Add the leafy greens and the sauce and stir around. Pop a lid on until the kale has wilted. This should take another 3-5 minutes. Serve over a bed of fresh, hot cous cous, rice or pasta.
To make the sauce…

-2 tbs of nutritional yeast

-1 tbs of garlic powder

-1 tbs of olive oil

-hot water, as little as half a cup or as much as 1 cup (depends on how watery you want the sauce)
