The Winner is….

Kurapica! Your suggestion of working out more slowly and mindfully rather than trying to get it over and done with was a fabulous idea. I often find that i rush through training sessions when i am at home by myself…. or in between sets i lay there staring at the ceiling for ages before i manage to get up for the next lot or reps. It is because of these reasons that i highly recommend going to a bootcamp session at least once a week just to keep you on the ball. Our bodies are clever and they often  trick our mind into doing the easier option because they’re just clever like that. At a bootcamp, you have no choice but to succumb to a workout that would usually supercede what you would be likely to do on your own within that particular time frame.

My favourite post-work out smoothie is something like the one below. Sometimes i just keep it at banana and add another scoop of almond butter and raw cacao for a decadent treat. A yummy, quick and nutritious option after a work out.
Banana Berry Hemp Shake

1/2 cup of mulberry’s (these were a rare treat!!!)

1 cup of strawberry’s

1 or 2 frozen banana’s (depends on how thick and sweet you want it…and how hungry you are)

1 drinking glass of almond milk

1 tbs of hemp seeds

1 tbs of ground flax seeds

1 scoop of Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein Powder
If it’s too thick for your liking, just add small portions of extra almond milk or filtered water until it’s at a consistency that you like. This makes enough for two people or you can bottle the rest and keep it in the fridge to drink later in the day.
